Gas tanks
The tanks used for installation of autogas systems are pressure tanks, in which liquid fuel is stored. Two basic types of tanks are used: cylindrical tanks and toroidal tanks, which can be additionally divided into internal toroidal tanks, external toroidal tanks, and vertical toroidal tanks.
Cylindrical tank is a tank with a classic cylindrical shape, which is installed if the boot of the vehicle is large enough or is not used, or if there is a need to increase the range of the vehicle. Such tanks are usually installed in the luggage compartment, cargo space or under the vehicle.
Internal toroidal tank is a tank installed in the spare wheel compartment inside the vehicle's boot.
External toroidal tank is a tank installed outside the vehicle, e.g. at the place of the spare wheel or at any place that enables placement of such a tank under the vehicle.
